If you've integrated vintrace with Lightspeed, you can use vintrace’s import feature to update your stock items with the details needed to sync them with Lightspeed.
To sync your stock items with Lightspeed using the import functionality:
- Download the CSV file.
- Enter your stock item data into the CSV file.
- Upload the CSV file to vintrace.
Downloading the CSV File
To download the CSV file:
- Click Set Up in the sidebar.
- Click Wine Items.
- From the Single x1 Items tile, click Configure.
- Click Import/Export.
- Do one of the following:
- If the wine items that you’re syncing with Lightspeed have not yet been added to vintrace, click Download Headers.
- If the wine items that you’re syncing with Lightspeed have been added to vintrace, click Export Wine Stock Items Records.
- Save the file.
Entering Stock Items in the CSV File
After you’ve downloaded the CSV file, enter the stock item details that you want to import into vintrace into the file.
To sync the stock items in vintrace with Lightspeed, be sure to specify the following:
- SKU — The Lightspeed SKU number.
- POS Ext Name — The name displayed in Lightspeed.
- Sync to POS — Enter TRUE in this column.
- POS Price — The price of the stock item. You do not need to enter this information if the item already exists in Lightspeed.
- Revenue Account — The account that will link your Lightspeed sales to your vintrace sales orders.
Uploading the CSV File into vintrace
To upload the CSV file:
- Click Set Up in the sidebar.
- Click Wine Items.
- From the Single x1 Items tile, click Configure.
- Click Import/Export.
- Click Upload a File.
- From the Upload window, click Choose File.
- Select the CSV file you want to upload.
- Click Upload.
- From the Wine Stock Items Importer window, click Import Wine Stock Items.
