Our Setting Up a Cost Item article details how to create a cost item and link it to the correct account in your accounting package.
For example, you could set up a Bottling Setup Fee cost item that’s done by a third party. That cost item’s Account is set to the Bottling Expenses account.
The Bottling account’s Account Code is set to the appropriate account in the accounting package.
