The scanner enables you to perform a number of functions in the cellar including:

• Assigning a different barcode to a barrel
• Editing a barrel’s details
• Changing a barrel’s location

To view a barrel’s details (including its wine and barrel group), scan or search for a barrel.

Scanning a Barrel

When you scan a barrel’s barcode, the barrel’s details display on the scanner with links to view the barrel’s wine details and barrel group’s details. You can view jobs scheduled for the barrel, start a job by double-tapping it, or complete jobs from the Jobs tab.

Searching for a Barrel or Barrel Group

To search for a barrel or barrel group:

1. Tap the Barrel Search or Group Search icon on the main menu.

2. Enter the search filters, then tap Search.

To view the barrel details for any of the results, double-tap the barrel.

Moving a Barrel

You can change a barrel’s location from the scanner’s Actions menu. Refer to our Moving Barrels with the Legacy Barcode Scanner article for details.

Adding a Tasting Note

You can add a tasting note from the scanner’s Actions menu.

Viewing a Wine’s Details

The wine’s Detail tab wine’s includes the product state, location, fermentation state, volume, and owner.

The Composition tab and Analysis tab show additional information for the wine.

Resetting the Scanner

If the scanner’s laser stops firing, tap the Reset Scan icon on the main menu. This will re-initialize the scanner’s engine.
