Suspending Fruit Intakes

vintrace allows you to suspend a fruit intake in progress to be resumed later by turning the intake into a Work Order. This allows for saving your work when you are not yet ready to complete the intake operation. A common use case is to record gross weights as fruit arrives before suspending the intake, and reopening and completing the intake Work Order later once your tare weights have been captured.

Enable Suspended Fruit Intake workflow

To enable this feature:

1. Click Set up in the sidebar
2. Click General
3. Click Configure on the Defaults tile
4. Select System (global) or Winery (site specific) tab as required
5. Locate 'Allow Suspend on fruit intakes'
6. Select 'Yes' to allow the suspend workflow and allow intakes to be saved in progress and reopened; or
   Select 'No' to require that all information is entered at time of intake.
Note that selecting [Reset...]/no setting on the Winery level will fall back to the System level setting, and having [Reset...]/no setting at System level will default to a 'No' state.
7. Click Apply to save your changes

Suspending Fruit Intakes

Once you have allowed Suspend on fruit intakes, any subsequent intake operations will allow you to nominate whether you want to record the intake as usual, or with the option to suspend.

To Suspend a Fruit Intake:

1. Receive fruit either by 'Arriving' a booking, or through an Unplanned Arrival
2. A dialogue box shows asking if you will be entering ALL or SOME of the delivery details



Clicking 'ALL' assumes you have all details to hand and will proceed as a regular intake
3. Click 'SOME' to enter some details, suspend the intake as a Work Order and resume later
4. Enter the details you have available. The block details are mandatory fields at this stage.
5. Click OK
6. Enter the delivery information you have available. There are no mandatory fields at this stage.
7. Click Suspend



The number next to Suspend indicates the TWL number of the Work Order created
8. Add any details you wish to the Work Order as usual
9. Click Save as... to save as Ready or a Draft

Resuming a Suspended Intake

You can resume a suspended intake either via completing the Work Order as per usual, or from the Fruit Intake console.

To resume the intake from the Fruit Intake console:

1. Locate the intake in progress using the search options
2. Click Arrive on the intake
3. A dialogue box appears asking if you would like to Resume an in-progress delivery



4. Click Yes
5. Select ALL if you have all required details
You can also select SOME if you need to update the intake without completing it
6. Complete the intake as usual
