Recording Lab Sample Losses and Viewing Analysis History

This functionality is available starting with vintrace 9.4.3, but not enabled by default. If you would like to use this functionality, please contact our support team.

When this functionality is enabled, you’ll have access to the Analysis History window where you can record and view a vessel’s analysis history as well as details about the vessel, analysis operation, batch, and work order. The functionality provides the following options when recording a measurement:

• Adjust the volume of a vessel by the amount taken during a measurement
• Enter the vessel’s new volume

Accessing the Analysis History Window

To access the Analysis History window:

1. Click More Options in the sidebar.
2. From the Tools tile, click Record Analysis Losses. The Analysis History window displays.

At the top of the window are filters that you can use to find the vessel.

Recording a Loss

To record a loss from the Analysis History window:

1. Use the filters at the top of the window to find the vessel.

2. Select Record a Loss beside the vessel that you want to record a measurement for.

The Measurement window displays for the selected vessel and batch. When the Measurement window is displayed from the Analysis History window, the Mode will automatically be set to Adjust Volume by Amount.

3. Adjust the volume by amount, or specify the vessel’s new amount.

For bonded wineries, the Loss Reason defaults to TTB - Used for testing; for DSP wineries, the Loss Reason defaults to DSP - Research, development or testing.

Adjusting the Volume by the Amount

To adjust the vessel’s volume by an amount from the Measurement window:

1. From the Mode list, select Adjust Volume by Amount.
2. Enter the amount that you want to reduce the vessel’s volume by in the Loss field.

3. Specify additional details for the measurement as needed.
4. Click Save.

Specifying the Vessel’s New Volume

To specify a vessel’s new volume from the Measurement window:

1. From the Mode list, select Specify New Volume.
2. Do one of the following:

• If dips have been set up for the tank, enter the vessel’s dip in the Dip (Tick) field. vintrace calculates the new amount and loss.
• Enter the amount in the New Amount field. vintrace calculates the loss.

3. Specify additional details for the measurement as needed.
4. Click Save.

Viewing a Vessel

To view a vessel from the Analysis History window, click the link in the vessel column.

Viewing an Analysis Operation

To view an analysis operation,

1. Click the down arrow beside the vessel.
2. Select View Analysis.

The Analysis window displays the details for the operation.

Viewing a Batch

To view the batch’s details:

1. Click the down arrow beside the vessel.
2. Select View Batch.

The batch’s product page displays its details.

Viewing a Work Order

To view a vessel’s work order:

1. Click the down arrow beside the vessel.
2. Select View Work Order.
