Setting the Default Analysis Template for Ferments

You can specify the default analysis template to use for recording ferments. When you select a default analysis template for ferments, that template will be automatically selected when you start a ferment.

Note that this sets the default for recording ferment details, e.g. doing analysis on ferment rounds using the ferment console, or recording ferment analysis on the vintrace App. You can set a seperate default for viewing ferments in progress on the ferment tab of a wine batch overview.

Setting the Default template

You can specify the default analysis for ferments from the Winery Set up window (Set up > General > Defaults):

1. Click Set Up in the sidebar.
2. Click General
3. Click Defaults
4. Select either the System (global), Winery (site specific) of User (single user) tab
5. Located the Analysis Templates section
6. Select an appropriate Analysis Template from the Ferment Rounds drop down menu
7. Click Save

If you select a different analysis template when recording the analysis of a wine that’s currently fermenting, you’ll have the option to use the selected template as the default for subsequent analysis.
