Managing Trial Blends

You can manage your trial blends from the Trial Blend Console. By default, the Trial Blend Console displays active trial blends. You can filter the trial blends displayed by using the filters at the top of the window.

In order to manage trial blends, you will need the Can Add/Edit Trial Blends permission.

Viewing Trial Blends

To view your trial blends:

1. Click More Options in the sidebar.
2. From the Trial Blends tile, click Manage Trial Blends. The Trial Blend Console displays.

3. Click View beside the trial blend you want to view. The trial blend's composition breakdown and calculated lab results display. From the Operations menu, you can add tasting notes, create a blend work order, and record analysis and additives.

From the Reports menu, you can access a number of different reports. 

Creating a Trial Blend

To create a trial blend:

1. Click  More Options in the sidebar.
2. From the Trial Blends tile, click New Trial Blend.

You can also click New from the Trial Blend Console.

The Trial Blend window displays.

3. Specify the details for the trial blend including the component of the blend and amounts of the batches. 

The status defaults to Draft. You can change the status, or select [Reset] to if you don't want to specify a status. 

4. Click Save.

Editing a Trial Blend

To edit a trial blend:

1. Click More Options in the sidebar.
2. From the Trial Blends tile, click Manage Trial Blends. The Trial Blend Console displays.
3. Click the down arrow beside the View button of the trial blend you want to update.
4. Select Edit.

5. Update the trial blend as needed.

You can also view the trial blend's charts.

6. Click Save.

Viewing a Trial Blend's Charts

The Show Charts link beside the Description field enables you to view the composition of your trial blend using a variety of attributes.

The various attributes are listed along the right side of the Trial Blend Charts window.

You can change what’s displayed in the chart by selecting the attribute.

Archiving a Trial Blend

To archive a trial blend:

1. Click More Options in the sidebar.
2. From the Trial Blends tile, click Manage Trial Blends. The Trial Blend Console displays.
3. Click the down arrow beside the View button of the trial blend you want to archive.
4. Select Archive.

Restoring a Trial Blend

Restoring a trial blend makes an archived trial blend active again.

To restore a trial blend:

1. Click More Options in the sidebar.
2. From the Trial Blends tile, click Manage Trial Blends. The Trial Blend Console displays.
3. Select the Inactive checkbox. The Trial Blend Console displays archived trial blends.
4. Click the down arrow beside the View button of the trial blend you want to restore.

5. Select Restore.
